Hospice Needs Registered Nurses – Spread the Word!

Our community has a great need for our kind of care, and we need experienced, caring Registered Nurses! While end-of-life care may feel daunting, this is a nursing career that can provide so much satisfaction.

Our primary focus is specifically on the patient and their family. Our nurses get to know their patients as people – not just a diagnosis. They provide more than just medical care: they offer stability, support, and guidance at a difficult time.

Hospice nurses gain a tremendous amount of professional growth, as well as valuable skills and insights that one can apply to any healthcare career. Their work/life balance is better than many other specializations, and they find a level of teamwork and support missing from so many other areas of healthcare.

Want to hear more? Listen to what some our current nurses have to say about the work that they love:

“As a nurse, seeing the quality of life that Hospice care provides is so important. Patients aren’t in a hospital receiving unnecessary treatments that could cause unnecessary physical or emotional pain or distress. Instead, they can choose to maximize the quality of their remaining days at home with, friends, and family. I am so pleased to be part of this effort.”                     -Nikki

“I’m a Hospice Nurse. That means that I am just one part of an entire interdisciplinary team that also includes social workers, chaplains, volunteers, hospice aides, LPNs and more. Everyone on the team has a voice and plays an important part in surrounding the patient and their family with all aspects of their care. I am proud to be part of the collaboration and support of the hospice care team.”           -Andrea

“As a Hospice nurse, I get to know my patients as people, and not just their diagnosis. Learning about the person that they are, the things they have done, and the life they have led, is extraordinarily meaningful to them as well as to myself.”                  -Jordy
