Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD)

Hospice of Central New York and Hospice of the Finger Lakes is committed to providing compassionate, comfort-focused care to every patient we serve. This includes patients who are considering or pursuing Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD), which is legal in New York State.

We will continue to provide the same high-quality hospice care, including expert symptom management, emotional support, spiritual care, and guidance for patients and their loved ones throughout their hospice journey.

As a Medicare-certified hospice, we comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations regarding Medical Aid in Dying. While our role is limited by those regulations, our commitment to providing compassionate end-of-life care remains unchanged.
