It’s that time of year again, time to start training for the Syracuse Half Marathon. Here at Hospice of Central New York, we have a limited number of bibs for the Syracuse Half taking place on November 11th.
We are looking for 5 runners to commit to raising a minimum of $1,500. When you reach the minimum you will have the opportunity to honor someone with a brick in our Solace Garden. When you raise $2,500 you will receive a Hospice of Central New York water-resistant soft shell jacket in addition to the brick. If you raise over $5,000 you will get all of the above, and we will honor you with a brick in our Solace Garden, displaying your name, the date of the race and how much you raised.
Training for a half marathon is difficult and comes with many challenges. For example, the record heat we have been experiencing lately does not make training easy. Each and every day Hospice of CNY provides support and care to Central New York patients and families in our community facing the toughest challenge of all, a life-limiting illness. Your run in the Syracuse Half Marathon could help those patients and families continue to receive the best end-of-life care.
Since 2017 Hospice of CNY runners have raised over $20,000 to support the patients and families we serve. If you are interested in running for Hospice of CNY contact Preslie Fields at (315) 634-1100 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a great way to kick of your summer, support your community and of course, have fun!
