Hospice Will Honor Maryann Roefaro at September Song

Hospice of Central New York will honor Maryann Roefaro, our dear friend, longtime Hospice supporter and CEO of Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY, at our 28th Annual September Song event on Friday, September 15th at Traditions at The Links at Erie Village.

Maryann has been making a difference at Hospice of Central New York for over 15 years. She served on the Hospice Foundation Board of Directors for 6 years and for another 6 years on the Hospice Operating Board. She also served terms as President on both Boards and many years as Chair of the September Song Committee. Maryann has been a passionate committee member, reaching out to her colleagues for corporate and personal support of Hospice’s fundraising events.

Her desire to help Hospice recently led her to raise money for Hospice while training for the NYC marathon. Her efforts brought in over $11,000 to help Central New York families get the services they need at the end of life. After that event her momentum continued as she currently co-chairs a newly established committee that is encouraging people to solicit support as they train for an upcoming race, an effort that has been very successful. Maryann’s leadership, commitment and drive is a true inspiration and gift to Hospice.

Please join us at September Song to celebrate the tremendous impact that Maryann has made on Hospice of Central New York and our community. The charm of the “Fabulous Fifties” is our theme this year. It will be a night of celebration, delicious food, music and dancing with Black Tie Entertainment and a bountiful silent auction. Look for a silent auction that is bigger than ever as we have teamed up with AmFund to offer “Bucket List” trips to places such as Greece, Alaska and Ireland. It’s a night you won’t want to miss!

All proceeds support the great work of Hospice of Central New York, providing a compassionate, dignified alternative for people with an incurable illness.
