HOSPICE ALERTS PUBLIC REGARDING FAKE TELEMARKETERS

June 30, 2008 – SYRACUSE, NY – Hospice of Central New York is asking the public to be aware of telemarketers asking for donations to Hospice. Hospice of Central New York is not conducting a telephone campaign. We respect our very generous donors and will always communicate with them in advance of any fundraising activity. We encourage anyone contacted to carefully check the background of any charitable request and never hesitate to call favorite charities regarding current fundraising activities. Hospice of Central New York serves Onondaga, western Madison and southern Oswego counties and is the community’s expert resource on end-of-life care. Hospice provides   compassionate and comprehensive comfort care to patients and families through unique interdisciplinary services, bereavement counseling, education and collaboration. The Foundation of Hospice of Central New York supports the work of Hospice of Central New York by raising much-needed funds each year for patient care.
