Local Hospice Team Presented a Case Study at NYS Conference

One of Hospice of CNY’s patient care teams presented a case study at the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of New York Conference on Friday. The team of healthcare professionals headed up by Hospice CNY Medical Director, Dr. Judy Setla reviewed the epidemiology and end-of-life issues surrounding eating disorder patients. Team members Layne Hamilton, MSW; Jeanne Moore, Rev., Chaplain; Valerie Findlay, RN, CHPN and Sonia Kragh, a Community Physician along with Dr. Setla focused on the unique physiologic problems and symptoms encountered with a terminal diagnosis caused by eating disorders. The study and presentation exemplifies Hospice of Central New York’s mission to bring cutting edge and the very best care to its patients and their families.
