Beyond Motown: An Explosion of Rhythm and Blues
American Idol Finalist to Perform in Hospice Benefit

First dust off your dancing shoes and then get your tickets for a night of unbelievable music.
Melinda Doolittle wowed audiences on American Idol. Then her debut album in 2009
was well received by the critics. This year she has published her first book, Beyond Me. 2010 brings
changes to Hospice’s September Song Concert series. Patrons in years past asked for a larger
venue for our pre and post concert parties. This fall we are moving the event to Friday, October 15,
2010 to the Oncenter!

Imagine a Healthcare Option… - Focused on hope that every day will be the best it can be
- Formed by a circle of caring not only around the patient but also around the patient's family
- Made up of physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and bereavement counselors
- Offering empowerment to patients, families, significant others to live with dignity and choice
- Granting wishes at end of life rather than giving in to despair
That option is called Hospice. Mission Statement: Hospice of Central New York, as our community’s expert resource at the end-of-life, provides comprehensive comfort care to patients and families through unique interdisciplinary services, bereavement counseling, education and collaboration.
