Hospice Volunteer Recognized

Michael Bocketti

Our congratulations and gratitude go out to Michael Bocketti who was recognized for his volunteer services to Hospice of Central New York. Bocketti received a “Certificate of Appreciation” from Onondaga County Executive Joanne M. Mahoney. Deputy Commissioner and the Executive Director of the Onondaga County Office for Aging, Peter Headd cited Bocketti’s “outstanding commitment and selfless contributions to our community.”

We could not agree more with Mr. Headd. Michael has been volunteering for Hospice for 7 years. A Vietnam Veteran, Bocketti’s expertise with veteran’s issues has benefited many Hospice patients as well as making Hospice staff more knowledgeable of resources available to the veterans we serve.

We have great admiration for Michael’s tireless efforts in the community and we are eternally grateful for his support of Hospice of CNY and are very happy that he has been recognized for his good works.
