WARNING: TELEPHONE SCAM

Hospice of Central New York has received word from several people about a local phone scam. People are calling residents claiming to be from Hospice of Central New York and asking for money to support Hospice or the Hospice Foundation of Central New York. 

This is a scam.

Hospice never solicits for money or raises any type of funds by telephone. If you receive such a phone call never offer any personal information. If the phone caller persists or if you have given out personal information you may want to call your local police agency. It was a little over a month ago that this type of telephone scam was first reported.
