Are you registered yet for the Syracuse Half Marathon? Thousands of Central New Yorkers face the challenge of this event each year. There are also thousands of Central New Yorkers who face a different kind of challenge; they have a terminal illness. Many of them turn to Hospice of CNY for care and comfort at the end of life. Your run in the Syracuse Half Marathon could benefit those patients and their families. Hospice of CNY has access to a limited number of bibs for this race taking place on March 26th. These bibs are available for those who want to benefit our community while they train for this big event. We are looking for 4 runners to commit to raising a minimum of $1,500. When you reach the minimum you will have the opportunity to honor someone with a brick in our Solace Garden. When you raise $2,500 you will receive a Hospice of Central New York water resistant soft shell jacket in addition to the brick.
Already signed up for the Syracuse Half Marathon? That means you’re already $75 closer to a $1,500 goal (or more!). If you would like to support Hospice patients and families with your run, call Preslie Fields at 315-634-1100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Knowing that your run will help provide dignity and comfort to someone locally will make the challenge of the Syracuse Half Marathon feel even better! Joe Carnese and Rosemarie Nelson have committed to this challenge and are supporting Hospice of CNY. Why don’t you join them? Let’s see who can raise the most with their bib! Be sure to contact us by January 31st.
