The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease

If you or someone you know is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, it’s time to learn the facts. This program discusses the difference between normal aging and dementia, explores how the brain works, defines dementia and goes through the different stages of the disease. This workshop explains the importance of clinical trials and gives an overview of the programs and services offered by the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York.

This program is highly recommended to patients who have recently been diagnosed, families who are caring for a loved one with early onset of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. This education program of the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York is being offered at Hospice of Central New York on February 13, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
