Alzheimer’s – Dementia Workshop to be held at Hospice

Hospice of Central New York we’ll be hosting a very special education program by the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York on June 6, 2017. The seminar entitled Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior we’ll get started at 5:30 PM and run through 7:00 PM on the Hospice campus at 990 Seventh North St. in Liverpool.

Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings, as the ability to use their language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.
